"Dust Houses"

"Dust Houses": "When Colombian Maria Adelaida Lopez moved to Philadelphia do a Master's degree in art, she cleaned houses to help support herself, as she says, the way many other Marias do. Her series of Dust Houses are toy doll houses covered over in vacuum cleaner lint, representing the themes of domesticity and the other, the ideas of cleaning up after oneself and putting one's house in order. Now an artist and educator in Miami, Lopez no longer cleans for others, but has filled vacuum cleaner bags given to her."
.....This just goes to show that ANYTHING can be called art! This lady has a Master's Degree?

Healing Iraq

Healing Iraq

This is a great insight into the daily life of an ordinary Iraqi citizen. It's much more interesting and insightful than anything you'll see on American television.

StillFree.com

StillFree.com is where you'll see the video of the guy who "Punk'd Air Force One". This of course was a hoax, but I found the creator Mark Ecko's explanation of why he did it to be quite insightful and frankly "dead on" as to the attitude of the people who run this country. Even us old geezers can see that were being lead by a bunch of pinheads!

This is just incredible. Imagine how fast we could reduce the national debt and provide healthcare if it was legal and taxed like alcohol and cigarettes...

phishhook.com :: Wild Weed Growing Operation

As of 11/03/06 this link was not working. Too bad there were some amazing photos of this underground facility with an escape tunnel. It was hidden in a hill behind a luxury home.

Pranks: Terrace Cafe Sculpture Replacement

Pranks: Terrace Cafe Sculpture Replacement

When Sacramento's Downtown Plaza underwent a radical facelift in 1995, all of Sacramento watched. K street had stagnated...again, but a two-story outdoor mall with over 100 retail outlets was waiting to revitalize the look and feel of downtown. It did. One new display was a "Terrace Cafe" sign on the 2nd floor welcoming hungry mall-goers to such mall staples as Sbarro, Jasper's Giant hamburgers and Hot Dog on a Stick. The terrace cafe sign had wrought iron lettering and three icons at the bottom: a strawberry, a croissant and a coffee cup. Within 6 months, the gold strawberry was gone. I suspect that some drunk from the mall super-tavern America Live stole it late one night.
