Vice President Dick Cheney has presided over an unprecedented power grab during his six years in the White House, former Vice President Walter Mondale wrote in a rare, scathing critique Sunday.

"The real question is why the president allows this to happen," Mondale writes.

I think its about time somebody calls it like it is...I just never thought it would be Walter Mondale! He must have been inspired by Gerald Ford's parting shots...

A wild peacock wandering Staten Island was brutally stomped by a deranged teenager and had to be euthanized, authorities said yesterday.
"I'm killing a vampire!" the suspect bragged maniacally as witnesses tried to stop him from attacking the beautiful bird .....
